Rates, Policies and FAQs
How much are lessons?
Lessons can be scheduled weekly, bi-weekly, or on-demand. Payment is due up-front for each block of 4 lessons.
Virtual Lessons
30 minute lessons = $35.00 x 4 = $140.00
60 minute lessons = $70.00 x 4 = $280.00
In-Home Lessons (when available)
30 minute lessons = $45.00 x 4 = $180.00
60 minute lessons = $90.00 x 4 = $360.00
What do I need to get started?
All you need is a instrument in working condition and the willingness to learn! Remote lessons will require a computer with a camera and internet connection, or an iPhone/Android with FaceTime or similar program.
Items that are highly recommended for guitar include a guitar strap, picks, extra strings, a tuner, and a metronome. For electric instruments you’ll need at least a small practice amp and a cable to plug in eventually but you can still get started without them.
For electric bass you can skip the capo above.
For ukulele you just need a tuner and a metronome to get started
Optional items would include a case for your instrument, a stand, extra strings, a capo, and a polishing cloth.
What’s your cancellation policy?
If you have to cancel a lesson, you must notify me at least 24-hours in advance or you will lose the fee for that lesson. Schedule permitting, a make-up lesson may be rescheduled within that week but I can’t guarantee it.
What instruments do you teach?
Right now I’m offering lessons for guitar, bass, ukulele and songwriting coaching. I have a network of teachers that I’d be happy to recommend if we can’t make a time work for both of us or if you don’t see your instrument of choice listed above.
